The Normangee High School boys golf team won the 2A state championship yesterday in Kingsland, making it a title sweep for the Panthers.

The girls team hoisted the 2A trophy last week.

SOFTBALL

Bryan High Softball fell to The Woodlands Wednesday, 15-5 in the the opener of their 6A Regional Semifinals series.

The Vikings had jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but couldn’t hold off the Highlanders.

The game was originally scheduled to take place at Grand Oaks High School in Spring, but was moved to Madisonville due to inclement weather.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series is set for Thursday afternoon at 5 o’clock.
