New Chief Executive At Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Brazos Valley

There is new leadership at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley.

The new chief executive officer is Rhonda Watson, who spent the last 12 years at Hospice Brazos Valley.

Watson takes over for Tiffany Parker, who spent four years as CEO as part of an 18 year career with the agency. Parker, according to her LinkedIn account, is now chief executive of the Boys and Girls Clubs in San Angelo.

Boys & Girls Club of the Brazos Valley announced Rhonda Watson has been selected as the new Chief Executive Officer of the organization. An experienced non-profit leader, Rhonda assumed responsibilities on February 1, 2021. Rhonda has over 30 years of communications, public relations, and nonprofit organizational development experience. Her passion is leading non-profit organizations seeking to better the lives of people in the local, national, and global community and in the process, grow the capacity of the organization.

Barbara Clemmons, Board and Search Committee Member said, “Rhonda is the right fit for the CEO position as evidenced by her commitment to diversity and transparency. This is paramount to the success of The Club. Her attention to data and her marketing skills are most needed for the Club to grow. I look forward to her tenure as she will impact not just the Club but the community as well.”

During her twelve years at Hospice Brazos Valley, Watson increased brand awareness, led marketing and outreach efforts using data driven strategies, and developed internal processes to provide a better customer service experience.

Woody Thompson, Board Treasurer said, “I was very impressed with her vision for the future of the organization.”

A native of Texas, Watson spent 13 years in Seattle, WA. Her career experiences there include nonprofit consulting, fund development, project management, and television production.
Belle Bramhall, incoming Board Chair, led the Search Committee. When asked about finding the right candidate, she responded, “Rhonda brings experience, leadership skills and energy that will inspire our board, staff and members. You just have to meet her to understand why we have chosen Rhonda to lead our Club into the future.”
