When the governor’s new pandemic executive order starts Wednesday, reminders from the city of Bryan includes the elimination of the requirement that outdoor gatherings of ten or more people require the mayor’s approval.
At most city of Bryan offices, visitors will be requested by not required to practice social distancing and wear masks.
The requirement continues at Bryan municipal court, which has to follow rules from the Texas Supreme Court.
City sponsored events and programs will continue be held on a case-by-case basis to ensure employees and participants remain safe.
Statement from the city of Bryan:
The City of Bryan will be following Governor Abbott’s executive order as it relates to capacity and the wearing of masks.
At most city buildings, visitors will be requested to wear masks and continue to observe physical distancing. Employees who work in public areas may be required to wear masks in those areas.
The City of Bryan Municipal Court remains under the jurisdiction of the Texas Supreme Court’s emergency orders, which requires all visitors and employees to wear masks through at least April 1.
The Governor’s most recent order also rescinded his restrictions on outdoor gatherings and his requirement that Judges and Mayors approve gatherings over 10 people.
