Gunfire Tuesday night west of the Bryan city cemetery sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
The only other information from Bryan police about the shooting on Washington between 16th and 17th was no arrests have been made and there was no belief there is a threat to the public.
November’s meeting of the College Station ISD school board included an update about construction projects funded by voter approved bond issues in November 2023 and May 2024. Specific topics include tuition, student-athlete pay, relationships on and off campus and with state lawmakers, student athlete pay, and observations about the Texas A&M-University of Texas football game. A pedestrian was struck by a train in College Station Thursday morning (November 21) A Union Pacific spokeswoman tells WTAW News that this happened around 7:15 a.m. on the tracks along Wellborn Road at a location that was not at a crossing. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital and the train crew was not hurt. In the comments section of the College Station police department’s Facebook page, an 18 year old student was struck. The man was walking near, but not on the train tracks. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and his family was notified. CSPD’s Facebook page says the intersection of Wellborn and Holleman West was shut down while police and railroad investigators were on the scene.
