Junior League of Bryan-College Station Announces New Fundraiser
Junior League of Bryan-College Station announces a new fundraiser, Betting on the Brazos. “Our theme is Casino-Inferno because we are having it at an old fire station,” says Kim Sailor, Vice President of Communications. The game night, which includes blackjack and poker tables, will be held at the newly renovated Visit College Station building in front of City Hall. Sailor says this event replaces Junior League’s annual Charity Ball. “Charity Ball used to be the only game in town so to speak, and now it feels like more and more organizations have some kind of gala or ball. We wanted to do something different,” says Sailor. Sailor says proceeds will continue to support the league’s signature project, Stuff the Bus. Betting on the Brazos is Saturday, November 9th.
