College Station ISD Board President Comments About Upcoming Superintendent’s Search

The most veteran member of the College Station school board was named president in November.

Earlier this month, Michael Schaefer announced this was his final year on the board.

And it’s been nearly two weeks since the board learned superintendent Clark Ealy is leaving.

Schaefer told WTAW’s News before the board’s last meeting that they will be working with a good team of senior level administrators during the time the search is on for a new superintendent.

Schaefer previously announced the board won’t finalize the search process until after Ealy officially receives a contract offer from his new district. That is scheduled to happen January 7th.

Schaefer also said he’s looking forward to putting his experience as a former higher education administrator to work.
