If you got caught in the traffic backup from a Saturday night crash on the freeway in College Station, police say the six vehicle mishap resulted in no one being transported to the hospital.
Officers were told a northbound motorcyclist near the Rock Prairie bridge laid down his bike to avoid crashing into the back of slowed traffic.
The riderless motorcycle was struck by a car.
Then two pickup trucks struck debris from the car striking the motorcycle.
And that was followed by another car that was attempting to avoid hitting the debris being rear-ended by an S-U-V.
Firefighter/E-M-T’s treated at the scene, the motorcyclist, the driver of the car that struck the motorcycle, and the driver of the S-U-V who was involved in the last collision.
The freeway was closed for almost 90 minutes as four of the six vehicles were towed.
