The start of the holiday season at the Brazos Valley Food Bank means the start of filling in the gaps of volunteers sorting food.
Executive director Theresa Mangapora says one of those opportunities is during and after the “Food For Families” event a week from Wednesday, December 4.
Mangapora says volunteers are needed to fill food backpacks for public school students when they return to classes after their holiday break.
As as the Food Bank finishes its second year at expanded facilities in north Bryan, the call is out to financially assist the non profit with its growing operational expenses.
