Thursday update:
A third person has died from Monday night’s collision of a car and a semi at Highway 21 and OSR.
Bryan police report 66 year old Thomas Bacak of Richmond was related to the driver and the driver’s wife, who were also killed after their car was struck by a semi.
The trucker was not injured.
Tuesday update:
Bryan police identified a Burton couple who died as the result of a Monday night crash at Highway 21 and OSR.
81 year old James William Bacak was the driver, and his wife, 80 year old Irene, was the backseat passenger of a southbound car that stopped at the stop sign then failed to yield the right of way.
The car was struck by a westbound semi.
The front seat passenger in the car, a 66 year old man who is related to the Bacak’s, is hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the semi was not injured.

Bryan police report two deaths and a third person in the hospital following a crash Monday evening at Highway 21 and OSR.
No names have been released from the collision of a car and a semi.
The casualties were in the car. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
BPD’s preliminary investigation reports the car pulled out into the path of the semi.
The driver of the semi is cooperating fully with the investigation.
