Board president Mark McCall told the principals, all of whom were in attendance, to tell the board what they need.

Associate superintendent Barbara Ybarra said affected schools may have earned an overall “C”, but fell short in one specific area.

Dr. Ybarra says the state’s new rule caught the regional service center serving Bryan ISD off guard.

Administrators sent some targeted plans for state approval, and some went to the board.

No one spoke during a public hearing that preceded the board’s approval of the plans.

The plans cover M.C. Harris alternative school, Long and Rayburn intermediate schools, and eight elementaries…Bonham, Branch, Crockett, Henderson, Houston, Johnson, Mitchell, and Ross.
