Two More Local Arrests Of Repeat Offenders

A Bryan man who served four days in jail after pleading guilty to driving without a valid license last January, was arrested on the same charge last Saturday morning by a Texas A&M police officer. According to the UPD arrest report, the SUV driven by 44 year old Abdule White was pulled over after failing to slow down when he passed a patrol vehicle that was stopped and had its lights flashing. At the time of his arrest, UPD found White had 11 suspensions on his driver’s license and 11 convictions for driving without a valid license. When Bryan police arrested White last January, that arrest report indicated 46 active suspensions. White is out of jail following his latest arrest after posting a $2,000 dollar bond.

A Bryan police officer who wanted to stop a car last Friday afternoon driving on College Main because the driver lowered his body and reached under his front seat winds up going to jail for the 22nd time in 16 years. 34 year old William Antoine Thomas was arrested for driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction that took place three months ago, possessing drug paraphernalia, and five warrants from Bryan municipal court. Thomas, who is awaiting seven trials in Brazos County district court…six on drug charges and the seventh for evading arrest, is out of jail after posting bonds on the new charges and paying $1,800 dollars in fines from the municipal court cases.
