CSCAA Names 22 Aggies to its All-America Team

NORFOLK, Va. – Twenty-two Texas A&M swimmers and divers received Scholar All-America recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

Eleven aggies received first-team Scholar All-America honors, which requires a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and for the student-athlete to have participated at the NCAA Championships during the 2018-19 season. Earning first team honors were Clayton BoboMcKenna DeBeverRaena EldridgeMonika Gonzalez-HermosilloAdam KosterKylie PowersSteven RichardsonGolf SapianchaiCamryn ToneyBenjamin Walker and Haley Yelle.

An additional 11 Aggies achieved honorable mention Scholar All-America status, which similarly requires a GPA of 3.50 and for the student-athlete to have achieved an NCAA “B” time standard or competed at a regional or zone qualifying meet. Earning honorable mention honors were Haley AllenKaley BattenKarling HemstreetConnor LongSara MetzschKatie PortzFelipe RizzoVictoria RoubiqueMark SchnippenkoetterSam Siebenaller and Hudson Smith.

In total, the CSCAA recognized 1,221 swimmers and divers to their Scholar All-America team, while 890 students-athletes received honorable mention. The Southeastern Conference led all conferences with 127 first-team selections and 218 student-athletes in total.
