Two Arrests On Threat Charges & Why A Man Returns To Jail On Nine Charges From Last Year

A Brazos County justice of the peace says a jail inmate tells him to his face that he’s going to blow the head off a woman who has a protection order against him. That’s the latest charge against a former College Station man who remains in jail in lieu of bonds totaling $69,000 dollars. 41 year old John DeLoach appeared before the J-P in person on Monday because the jail’s video system was not working. The appearance was after DeLoach was arrested on Sunday for appearing at the victim’s home in violation of the protection order. DeLoach was also arrested April sixth on a charge of family violence assault. That arrest was the day after he got out of jail following an arrest on a charge of calling in a bomb threat last year to College Station’s T-J Maxx store.

A College Station woman is accused of threatening to kill her mother. College Station police noted on the arrest report that officers have responded to multiple civil disturbances involving 36 year old Chasity Curl, who does not have custody of her biological daughter. On Tuesday night, officers were told the daughter’s adoptive father allowed Curl to take the girl to a corner store and return immediately. Instead, Curl went to a store two miles away and did not return for almost three hours. The threats were made after Curl was locked outside the house following a confrontation with the adoptive parents over how how long Curl was gone. Curl remains in jail in lieu of a $5,000 dollar bond.

A Hearne man is back in jail after bonds were pulled on nine charges from five arrests last year in Brazos County. 41 year old Quindrick Drake, according to online court records, has not been in touch with the bonding company since last October and he refuses to take their calls. Drake has been indicted on two counts of evading arrest with a prior conviction, six counts of selling and/or possessing illegal drugs, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Drake is being held on bonds totaling $92,000 dollars.
