The Texas A&M track & field program has announced that longtime assistant Vince Anderson will not return for the 2019-20 season.

A 34-year coaching veteran, Anderson has spent the last 15 seasons at Texas A&M, where he has coached the Aggie men and women hurdlers, as well as women’s sprinters.

Texas A&M head coach Pat Henry released a statement Tuesday:

“Assistant track and field coach Vince Anderson will not return as a member of the staff next year. Vince has been a loyal and dedicated assistant for many years. He is a good man, one of principal and conviction. This change will be difficult, but it will be part of our program’s growth. I want to wish Vince the best in whatever he decides to do.”
