Five term Burleson County Judge Mike Sutherland officially left office Sunday, ten days after signing an agreement with the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct.

The commission on Monday disclosed an agreement that was signed on June 6 that the agency will not pursue two charges that Sutherland sexually harassed and/or engaged in a sexual relationship with a woman employed by Burleson County.

The former county judge denies incidents that were reported earlier this year and last year.

Sutherland, who was elected Burleson County judge in November 2002, is forever disqualified from serving as an appointed or elected judge.
