Brazos County Sheriff’s Office Asks For Help In Solving Battery Thefts

The Brazos County sheriff’s office is asking for your assistance to solve an increasing number of battery thefts.

This includes batteries being taken from vehicles, oil well sites, heavy machinery, and electric driveway gates.

The sheriff’s office asks residents to report suspicious activity by calling 979-361-3888 or 9-1-1. Suspicious activity includes stopping in driveways for no apparent purpose, stopping next to other vehicles that might appear to be disabled, working on heavy equipment found alongside roadways or construction sites at odd times of the day, and being in an area where they look out of place.
