Brazos County Commissioners And The Sheriff Recognizes Corrections Officers

Representatives of corrections facilities around Brazos County received a proclamation at this week’s county commissioners meeting.

After the proclamation was read by county judge Duane Peters, sheriff Chris Kirk thanked the work of who he described as the unseen heroes of the criminal justice system.

In addition to the county’s adult and juvenile facilities, there are corrections officers at the College Station city jail, the state’s Hamilton Unit, and the federal women’s prison.
