Mold has been found inside Brazos County’s juvenile justice center.
County judge Duane Peters says hotspots were found in four of 20 areas in an initial round of testing.
That resulted in some employees being moved from an office area and closing an area where children go to class.
in the first round of tests, no mold was found in cells where nearly 30 juvenile offenders are held.
Peters says the entire center will be tested.
And a $17 million dollar renovation and expansion project that started last June will continue.
