United Way Of The Brazos Valley Update

Details from UWBV about the youth cabinet accepting applications for Community Builder grants:

These grants may be awarded up to $1,000 each. Eligible agencies must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing a direct impact in the areas of Health, Education and/or Financial Stability in the Brazos Valley.

Applications for Community Builder Grants are due by Mar. 22 at 5:00 pm and applicants will be notified of the Youth Leadership Cabinet’s decisions by Apr. 12. To access the application visit www.uwbv.org/youthleadershipcabinet.

The Youth Leadership Cabinet is a group of high-school aged students from the Bryan and College Station area who seek to make a positive impact in the community through United Way of the Brazos Valley. The Youth Leadership Cabinet provides ways for students to gain networking skills, community involvement and leadership experience.

Every year members of the Youth Leadership Cabinet review grant applications from Brazos Valley nonprofit organizations. Last year, the Youth Leadership Cabinet granted $14,500 to 20 nonprofits in the Brazos Valley.
