A Bryan man who was arrested Friday night for driving while intoxicated with three prior convictions is also awaiting a trial after he was charged more than two years ago for failing to register as a sex offender. According to the Bryan police arrest report, 41 year old Martin Ybarra was seen drinking between 12 and 15 beers over a six hour period. As officers responded to a disturbance at Ybarra’s home, they heard a pickup leave. Ybarra was also arrested for leading two patrol cars on a chase then resisting arrest. After he was booked in the Brazos County jail for the 17th time in 23 years, he was released after posting bonds totaling $19,000 dollars.

The 35th time a Bryan woman was booked in the Brazos County jail in almost 32 years, is for DWI with three prior convictions. A friend notified 9-1-1 that 64 year old Judy Davis was driving on Highway 21 towards Bryan while intoxicated. According to the arrest report from the Brazos County sheriff’s office, a deputy followed Davis while she was going 45 in a 65 mile per hour zone and her S-U-V was drifting into the shoulder. The arrest was made after the driver failed sobriety tests. Davis remains in jail on a ten thousand dollar bond from the DWI charge.

A Saturday morning crash on Harvey Mitchell Parkway near Wellborn Road resulted in the driver being arrested for drunk driving with two prior convictions. According to the College Station police arrest report, no one was at the crash site when officers arrived. Using the vehicle registration information, officers went to the driver’s home and and waited for him to arrive. While 31 year old Gerald Barnett Jr. of College Station denied being intoxicated, a breath alcohol sample measured .116, which is almost one and a half times the legal limit. Barnett, who was booked in the Brazos County jail for the 19th time in 14 years, remains held on a bond of $10,000 dollars.
