Texas A&M And Union Pacific Announcements Regarding Thursday’s Procession For George H.W. Bush

Texas A&M has announced parking and viewing areas for the funeral train carrying George H.W. Bush Thursday afternoon.

A&M officials advise to be in place to view the train by 2:30 p.m., as the train is scheduled to be on campus between 3:30 and 3:40.

Public parking locations are the University Center Garage, the Central Campus Garage, and lots 47/51, 48, 50, 54, and 55. There is no charge for parking at those locations.

Viewing areas are lot 62 (where is no vehicle access), the east side of Wellborn Road from south of the McFerrin Center to George Bush Drive, and the south side of George Bush Drive between Wellborn and Penberthy.

Closed areas to the public includes all of west campus, pedestrian passageways, Cain Garage, and vehicular traffic on Wellborn between George Bush and University and George Bush between Wellborn and FM 2818/Harvey Mitchell.

Union Pacific locomotive No. 4141 is scheduled to leave Spring at 12:30. The train, also carrying family and close friends of the late 41st President, will pass through Hufsmith, Pinehurst, Magnolia, Todd Mission, Stoneham, Navasota, Millican, and the Wellborn community.
