Twin City Mission introduced its new chief executive on Tuesday.
Dorothy Nevill was promoted following the retirement of Doug Weedon after 31 years as the agency’s leader.
“One of the sayings that Doug always said, and I will always keep this in the back of my mind, is ‘Twin City Mission does not belong to one person, it doesn’t belong to the program directors that run our programs, it doesn’t even belong to our board of directors, but it does belong to the community that we serve'”, said Nevill.
Nevill, who has been the interim CEO since June, spent the last ten years as the mission’s financial controller.
“I think that my first big task is to work with the leadership that’s here at Twin City Mission. We have great program directors that run the different programs that we offer, and find out what their needs are and find ways to meet those needs,” said Nevill.
