Prison For Sexual Assault And Robbery

A Bryan man who admitted to sexually abusing a girl was sentenced to 35 years in prison. According to the arrest report from Bryan police, 37 year old Austin Price attacked the girl for five years, and threatened to kill the victim and her mother if the girl ever reported what happened. According to the Brazos County district attorney’s office, the 14 year old victim told her mother what was happening to her out of concern that Price was also assaulting her younger sisters. Prosecutors say the younger children were not attacked. Price, who faced life in prison, entered a plea agreement where he has no right to appeal. He will have to serve at least half the 35 year sentence before becoming eligible for parole. And he will be required to register as a sex offender.

A College Station man is behind bars for at least four months after admitting to a robbery last September where he struck the victim with a bicycle. According to records from Brazos County district court, 20 year old David Castilleja Jr. entered a plea agreement that includes a ten year prison sentence. But after 120 days, the judge can consider whether to place Castilleja on ten years probation that includes 200 hours of community service.
