Noon Hour Crash On University Sends One To The Hospital

One person was injured from a crash during the noon hour Tuesday on University at Forest.

College Station police report the driver of an eastbound SUV was attempting to make a U-turn on a flashing yellow light when it was struck by a westbound car that had the green light.

The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the SUV was issued a ticket for failing to yield the right of way with bodily injury.

Eastbound traffic was diverted off University for about 35 minutes until the scene was cleared.
