The state’s new school ratings are out…for the first time listing letter grades and scores.
The ratings, which are online at txschools.org, which is based on last year’s state test scores.
College Station received a “B” and an 89, while Bryan received a “C” and a 74.

In Robertson County, Mumford received an “A” and a 91, Franklin an “A” and a 90, Calvert a 57 and a state rating of improvement required, and Hearne an “F” with a 53. It should also be noted Hearne now has a new governing board.
In Burleson County, Caldwell has a “B” and an 81, Snook has a “C” and a 70, and Somerville has a “D” and a 67.
In Madison County, North Zulch scored an 88 but the state gave a “met standard” designation and not a letter grade. Madisonville received a “C” and a 79.
All five districts in Leon County received “B” grades. Normangee scored an 87, Oakwood 86, and 80’s for Centerville, Buffalo, and Leon.
And in Grimes County, Iola has an “A” and a 90, Anderson-Shiro has a “B” and an 86, and Navasota has a “D” with a 64.
