Two Local Law Enforcement Officer Retirements This Week

A longtime Brazos County deputy constable received a proclamation for his service at this week’s county commissioners court meeting.

Thomas Coleman was a chief deputy in three constable offices and worked for four constables as part of his 21 year career.

Precinct three constable J.P. Ingram was among those who thanked Coleman.

County judge Duane Peters shared his relationship with Coleman extends to when he was a booking officer at the county jail.

 

In addition to delivering every kind of civil court paperwork, the proclamation noted Coleman captured several felons during his career…most recently a set of bank robbers.

 

There was a retirement reception Friday at the College Station police department, thanking Sergeant James Woodward for 26 years of service. He was a supervisor in CSPD’s criminal investigations, recruiting and training, special investigations, and motors units.
