Three Arrests Involving Gun Related Charges

A Bryan man’s 22nd trip to the Brazos County jail in 30 years accuses him of firing a gun at his son five or six times. 64 year old Crispin Espinoza Jr. is out of jail after posting bond following his arrest by Bryan police for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of two guns by a felon, and removing the I-D number from one of the handguns. According to the arrest report, Espinoza is on parole for two more years following a conviction for family violence assault causing bodily injury.

A stolen handgun owned by the College Station police department was recovered during an arrest by Bryan police. According to the arrest report, the handgun with a loaded magazine was found in the front pocket of a man who threatened to kill himself and his mother. 18 year old David Aguirre was arrested for stealing the gun, unlawful possession of the gun, and drug charges. WTAW News has asked C-S-P-D about the circumstances of the gun theft, which took place last year.

Gunfire was heard and recorded by Brazos County 9-1-1 dispatchers just after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning outside a home north of Bryan off of FM 2223. According to the arrest report, witnesses told sheriff’s deputies they heard seven or eight shots. Deputies found four spent rounds and the victim’s vehicle had several fresh bullet holes. The 9-1-1 recording contained the gunfire and the shooter being told to put the gun away. 46 year old Michael Hernandez was arrested for family violence assault and unlawful discharge of the firearm. Hernandez denied having a gun or firing it.
