CSPD Investigating Multiple Reports of a Man Entering Unlocked Residences

Update:

Here’s another reason to lock the doors of your home or apartment.

College Station police report someone has been entering unlocked residences in the early morning hours in the area of Holleman South and Harvey Mitchell.

Lt. Craig Anderson says this has happened at least five times in the last year.

Once the unidentified black man has been spotted, he runs away.

No one has been injured and nothing has been taken.

Anyone with information and/or video of suspicious activity is asked to contact CSPD.

College Station police are investigating multiple reports of a man entering unlocked residences in the area of Holleman Drive South and Harvey Mitchell Parkway South during the early morning hours.

According to the CSPD news release, the suspect, described as a black man in his 20’s with a medium build, enters the residence, remains inside, and flees once he is seen by someone.

No items have been reported stolen and no injuries have been reported.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.

Recently, the College Station Police Department has been conducting an investigation into incidents that have been occurring in the area of Holleman Drive South and Harvey Mitchell Parkway South in College Station. The incidents have been occurring during the early morning hours, involving residences where the front door was left unlocked. During these incidents, the suspect would enter a residence through the unlocked front door, remain inside for an unspecified period of time, and then flee once observed by a resident. No items have been reported stolen in any of the incidents, and no injuries have been reported. The suspect has been described as a black male, between 5’6” and 5’10” tall, in his 20’s, with a medium build, and muscular/ fit frame.

The College Station Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person who is committing these offenses. We ask that if anyone observes or has recently observed any suspicious activity in this area, to contact the police department. In the meantime, citizens can assist the police department by following basic safety procedures, such as:

• Locking all doors and windows to your residence
• Remaining observant of your surroundings
• Report anything that looks out of the ordinary
