Two Recent Arrests Combine For 42 Visits To The Brazos County Jail In 15 Years

A College Station man is in and out of the Brazos County jail for the third time in 11 days, the eighth time since February 3, and the 18th time in nine years. 27 year old Cody Bair James Massey is out after posting a $2,000 dollar bond following his arrest for driving with an invalid license with prior convictions. Massey was pulled over early Monday morning by a Texas A&M police officer who clocked Massey going 52 miles an hour on Texas Avenue by New Main. According to the arrest report, Massey has 17 current suspensions on his driver’s license. According to online jail records, Massey was arrested July 4 by Bryan police for misdemeanor theft. And on June 29, BPD arrested Massey on a warrant for not having a driver’s license. According to online court records, Massey is scheduled to appear October 18 in three other cases where he is charge with driving with an invalid license.

A Bryan man is in the Brazos County for the second time in six days and the 24th time in 15 and a half years. According to a DPS arrest report, a trooper pulled over a pickup Monday night that had an enclosed cargo trailer with no license plate and defective tail lights. The trooper learned the driver had a suspended license and two prior convictions for driving with an invalid license. That led to a search of the truck and the trailer. The trailer was reported stolen from College Station. That led to the arrest of 33 year old John Obanion, who was out on bond from a DPS arrest on July 4 for filing a false report of a fire with the Bryan fire department last January. Obanion was released from jail Wednesday after posting bonds totaling $30,000 dollars on the new charges.
