The Texas A&M system has announced the formation of a 35 member advisory council that will sign off on new workforce training courses at the new RELLIS campus.
The president of Oldham Goodwin Group, Hunter Goodwin, chairs the external advisory committee to the RELLIS trades council.
Goodwin says the advisory council is made up of businessowners who will be looking to hire students who complete building trades programs at RELLIS.
The council will review and validate courses that system officials say will give students an assurance they are taught all the basic skills to qualify for building trades jobs.
Goodwin says the narrative has to be changed that high paying jobs are available without getting a bachelor’s degree.
