The Highway 30 bridge over Gibbons Creek is expected to be closed months and not days.
That’s what Grimes County commissioners were told on Wednesday by their road and bridge engineer, Harry Walker.
Walker told county commissioners that TxDOT inspectors returned to the bridge to look at a portion that dropped a few inches.
That means motorists can add 20 minutes to their trip, due to the detour of using FM 244 and Highway 90.
