A former employee of Woody’s Gags and Gifts is accused of robbing the store and assaulting an employee.
According to Bryan Police, the victim called dispatch around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and said the suspect had fled the scene with cash from the register.
Officers found 22 year-old Barry Densey Jr. on a bicycle with cash in his pockets and no shoes on.
Surveillance video from the store showed Densey walking behind the counter and taking money from the register.
The employee attempted to stop Densey from leaving the store, but he punched the victim in the head and slammed him to the ground before fleeing.
Officers found two sandals and a green hat where the fight occurred, and it was determined they belonged to Densey.
According to online records, this is Densey’s third time in jail in three months and fourth time in just over a year.
