A Bryan man has finished the first of five trials on multiple criminal charges from the last two years.

A Brazos County district court jury has convicted 25 year old Peter Olsen for the January 2016 armed robbery of Pepe’s Restaurant.

The jury then sentenced Olsen to three life terms in prison.

Since Olsen has been in jail since his arrest shortly after the robbery, he will have to serve another 28 years before he becomes eligible for parole.

Olsen is awaiting trial on charges in two cases that followed the Pepe’s robbery, charging him with firing a gun at a vehicle after leaving the restaurant, and evading arrest and aggravated assault as part of a crash.

Olsen has also been indicted for the armed robbery of a Bryan insurance office, hacking into the county jail’s computer system in an attempt to lower his bond, and while in jail attempting to sway someone out of jail to commit other armed robberies.
