Former Texas A&M quarterback and 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel is returning to professional football.

Manziel announced via Twitter Wednesday morning that he will be joining The Spring League, a developmental league in Austin.

A former NFL first round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2014, Manziel has been out of professional football for two years following his release from Cleveland for off-the-field issues.

The 25-year-old gave an exclusive interview to ‘Good Morning America’ earlier this week, saying he is no longer drinking and has sought help for Bipolar Disorder.
