Texas A&M Equestrian Moves to No. 3 in New NCEA Rankings

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Equestrian moved up one spot to No. 3 in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association rankings, the NCEA announced Wednesday.

The Aggies (1-0) are coming off a 12-7 win over UT Martin on September 23rd at the McWherter Ag Pavilion in Martin, Tenn. Texas A&M won three events; Equitation over Fences, Horsemanship and Reining, while tying in Equitation on the Flat. Junior Madison Bohman, sophomore Rebekah Chenelle and seniorKaci Fisher were named MOPs against the Skyhawks.

Auburn and Georgia remained at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, from the preseason poll. TCU fell to No. 4 after its loss to No. 6 SMU. Baylor ranks fifth, followed by Oklahoma State at No. 7 and South Carolina, who remained at No. 8. Rounding out the top-10 is Fresno State at No. 9 and New Mexico State at No. 10.

The Aggies will return to action Friday, September 30th at No. 8 South Carolina at 1 p.m. CT.
