Two Minor Injuries In Bryan Walgreen’s Robbery

A Bryan man remains in jail following a robbery at a Walgreen’s last weekend where two employees were injured trying to stop him.

According to the arrest report from Bryan police, 49 year old William Boone stepped in front of a customer checking out at the 29th and Briarcrest Walgreen’s Saturday night to take money out of an open cash register drawer.

The checkout clerk was taken to the hospital for treatment of an injured shoulder and ribcage.

The co-worker did not require treatment after struggling with the suspect. Boone was found about one hour later inside the Raceway convenience store next to the Bryan post office.

He was taken into custody following a strugle with three officers.

Most of the $45 dollars that was taken from Walgreen’s was recovered.

In addition to the robbery arrest, Boone is also being held for violating parole from an undisclosed prior offense.
