CSISD Trustees Approve Land Sale

The College Station Independent School District Board of Trustees Friday unanimously approved the sale of land that will eventually become part of a new Scott & White Hospital on Rock Prairie Road east of the Earl Rudder Freeway.

Board President Randall Pitcock described the transaction as a win-win.  The district purchased the 30 acre parcel in the late 1980’s.  Once it was determined a school would not be built then the land was available for sale.

Pitcock said the sale price of $4,020,000 included closing costs and other fees. The City of College Station is purchasing the land, which in turn will be sold to the Research Valley Partnership economic development agency, which in turn will sell it to Scott & White.
