The victim later told a detective that she was assaulted around ten times between September and December of 2023. That included being struck 12 times with a closed fist, the man trying to break her fingers, and her head striking a wall. On February 11, 2025, the day before 28 year old Ali Saber Sichani was arrested, he told a detective that he would get upset when the victim talked to other men, which he perceived as her cheating on him.
