Brazos County Expo Phase 3 Expansion Approved

The Brazos County Expo is getting a $3 million dollar expansion.

County commissioners have approved contracts to start the design process.

General Manager Tom Quarles says the phase three project will include more stalls to hold more livestock that will bring in more cattle and horse shows.

The addition includes improved sound and lighting, 60 more parking spaces, and 30 more RV hookups.

Quarles says that will raise the number of RV spaces to 108, enough to also draw larger events.

Quarles expects construction could start as early as next May, and take about 12 months to complete.
