A six-year-old boy crossing the street was hit by a truck and later died at St. Joseph hospital.
He’s the latest casualty in a recent uptick in pedestrian fatalities.
Bryan Police said the boy, whose name was not released because of his age, was crossing the street on foot in the 100 block of Highland Drive when he was struck.
The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 p.m.
Officers said the driver was being fully cooperative.
It’s the sixth pedestrian fatality since October.
