UPDATE: Bryan Police Still Looking For Murder Suspect

Update:

Bryan police are still looking for those responsible for the murder of a Bryan man who was shot inside his car near his home Saturday morning.

According to online court records, 30 year old Broderick Turner was out of jail on bond awaiting trial on five criminal charges when he was killed.

Officer Kelley McKethan says a motive has not been determined, including whether it had anything to do with his pending cases.

McKethan says patrol officers from several miles away heard gunfire, then 9-1-1 dispatchers directed them to the 600 block of West 16th. That is south of Highway 21 between Hall and Logan.

McKethan says when officer arrived, Turner was out of his car and still alive. Police and emergency personnel provided medical treatment before Turner was transported to the hospital, where he died.

Turner was scheduled to go on trial next July on charges of assaulting a family member with a prior conviction. And he was scheduled to make a court appearance next week on four misdemanor charges.
