A Blinn College student who was assaulted Tuesday morning led to an alert by college officials.
Blinn spokesman Richard Bray says a female student was inappropriately touched while she was next to her car. The car was parked in section E, which is next to the College Edge apartments.
The suspect is described as a heavy set Hispanic man between five foot six and five foot nine wearing flip flops, basketball shorts, a gray t-shirt, and a baseball cap.
Bray says the suspect drove away from the apartment complex.
Bray says Blinn students are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and college police will escort students to and from their parked vehicles.
