Aggie Mobile Fast Pass For Tickets

COLLEGE STATION — Texas A&M Athletics and the 12th Man Foundation have announced the launch of the Aggie Mobile Fast Pass, a quick and easy way for donors and fans to instantly purchase tickets using text messaging. Donors and fans who register for the program will receive customized notifications when tickets become available, enabling them to purchase tickets on-demand in a matter of seconds via text message.

Texas A&M’s partnership with ReplyBuy will allow donors and fans to receive offers if tickets become available at the last minute from allotments previously reserved for the visiting team and other groups, even when games had been previously announced as sold out. Tickets will also be available to upcoming men’s basketball games.

“Technology is becoming more and more part of the collegiate sports experience, and that certainly extends to how fans are purchasing tickets,” said Jason Cook, Texas A&M’s senior associate athletics director for external affairs. “ReplyBuy makes it quick and easy to get tickets for upcoming games at the redeveloped Kyle Field and other venues through a simple text message.”

“We’re proud to partner with Texas A&M to help introduce this new capability to their passionate fan base.” said ReplyBuy Vice President Brandon O’Halloran. “Texas A&M realizes the value of expediting the buying process to deliver instant fan gratification by not making them click links or be redirected to an app to complete ticket purchases. Our technology aligns with their fans who are looking for access, speed, and simplicity. Fans can now register for the service by visitingwww.replybuy.com/texasam/welcome or text AGGIE to 20123. The partnership with ReplyBuy is just one of the many ways Texas A&M is working to make the gameday experience more enjoyable for fans.”

FAQ
Why ReplyBuy?  We continue to look for new ways to sell these last minute returns in order to accommodate as many Aggie fans as possible.  One new technology that will allow us to do that quickly and fairly this year is a program we are introducing called “ReplyBuy.” Any donor or fan will be able to sign up for a text alert system that allows them to receive notifications when tickets become available. They will even be able to buy digital tickets right from their smart phones.

If the game is sold out, why do tickets become available?  Pre-allocated tickets that are not needed may become available for some games even though we have announced a sellout.
Where do the additional tickets come from?  Student ticket pull may be low, visiting teams might return unsold allotments days before the game, or the number of tickets needed for high school coaches or prospective student-athletes and their families might be below what we expected.  Also, tickets available to coaches or staff are sometimes returned to us just days prior to a game.
How many tickets may become available?  The game may be sold out, but we may still have a few dozen, or sometimes a few hundred, last minute tickets available.
Is this a 12th Man Foundation donor benefit?  Yes.  This platform is a benefit for 12th Man Foundation donors as they will receive the ticket availability offer before anyone else.  All non-members will receive the offer once members have been texted and given time to purchase.
