8th Grader Back In School The Day After Being Stabbed

An eighth grade student returned to Sam Rayburn Middle School in Bryan the day after being stabbed by a classmate with a pocketknife.

Bryan ISD Communications Director Sandy Farris says another eighth grader faces a range of disciplinary actions in addition to criminal charges.

Farris says the students were involved in an altercation earlier in the day then the stabbing occurred on the school’s nature trail during a physical education class.

The victim was treated by the school nurse for a stab wound to an arm, then a parent took their son from school for further medical attention.
