An accused hit and run driver is to blame for a Monday afternoon traffic jam along George Bush between Houston and Wellborn.
College Station Police say they saw a man running down…on foot…the driver of a black Charger.
The witness says he got out of his car after seeing 18 year old Olanrewaju Rotimi of Bryan hit two cars and a pickup twice at the corner of George Bush and Houston.
After getting around the truck, the witness says the Charger drove down the center median of George Bush towards Wellborn, enter the intersection, and strike a SUV.
The patrolman, who was stopped at the intersection, then got to the Charger and got Rotimi out of the car.
According to the arrest report, Rotimi was not under the influence, he refused medical treatment, and he told officers he drove away because he thought the other vehicles were driving off.
No injuries were reported from those in the other vehicles.
Rotimi is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $6,000.
