A Bryan man is in jail for the second time in three weeks and the 47th time in 25 years.
42 year old Manvell Ily Ginn is held on bonds totaling $100,000 dollars. That follows his arrest on charges of burglary of a habitation and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to the Bryan police arrest report, this happened the day after Ginn accuses his ex-girlfriend of striking him in the face with a souvenir style baseball bat and he was assaulted by the woman’s current boyfriend. BPD reported Ginn was taken to a hospital in Temple for treatment of his injuries. No one was arrested according to online jail records, in what BPD described was a “mutual combat altercation”.
The next day, after Ginn was released from the hospital, he is accused of kicking in the front door to the home where his ex-girlfriend lives and threatening her and another occupant with a gun. Ginn told officers he went to his home after he was released from the hospital and denied going to his ex-girlfriend’s house.
At the time of the new arrest, Ginn was out on bond on a charge of harassing a Brazos County detention officer. Ginn is accused of saying he had coronavirus and coughed in the direction of the officer.
