4,000 + Students Pack Reed For Elementary School Day

Around 4,000 students from 20 schools in the Bryan-College Station area are in the stands to watch No. 20 Texas A&M Women’s Basketball host Nicholls State.

Due to the special tip time, the Gary Blair Kid’s Court will be closed, and no fans will be allowed on the court post game.

Fans can tune into the radio call from Bret Dark and Tap Bentz on KZNE 1150 AM in the Bryan-College Station area, or on AggieAthletics.com. Live video is available on 12thMan.TV as well.

The Aggies (6-3) are coming off of a close loss at then-No. 12 Penn State, an eight point loss, that saw the battle back from an 11-point deficit with 1:48 left to have a chance to make it a one-possession game with 52 seconds left in the game.

Reed Arena has been fantastic to Texas A&M this season, as the Aggies started 3-0 in the building for the 13th time in the 15 seasons the building has been open. The Aggies have won their games by an average of 30.7 points per game at home, and out-rebounding foes by 11.7 boards per game at home.

Nicholls State (4-3) is coming off the best year in school history, a 19-11 campaign and a fourth-place finish in the Southland Conference. Nicholls enters the contest after pulling off a 80-78 win over Louisiana Tech, a milestone win for the Colonels over their in-state foe.

After this game, the Aggies travel to the Maggie Dixon Classic in Madison Square Garden to face St. John’s on ESPNU on Sunday, December 22 at 10 a.m. The Aggies return home on Dec. 28 to face Louisiana Tech in Reed Arena at 7 p.m.
