The 41st time a College Station man is in the Brazos County jail in 18 years, it’s for admitting to possessing PCP, family violence assault, and violating bond. But the plea from 35 year old Johnnie Fletcher Gooden didn’t come until after a jury was picked last week in Brazos County district court and the trial judge denied his motion to suppress evidence. Gooden, who was sentenced to 25 years, was also in jail for a parole violation from a prior and unidentified conviction.

A Bryan man who has admitted to seven crimes was sentenced to a total of ten years in prison. According to online records, the plea agreement involving 28 year old Quinton Auston covers four felonies from last year…including drug possession and evading arrest. Prosecution was barred on three misdemeanor counts of driving with an invalid license. It’s the 25th time in 12 years Auston is in the Brazos County jail.
