1991 Consol Champs to be Honored

The 1991 A&M Consolidated 4A State Champion Football Team will have a 20-year reunion at the football game against Harker Heights on Friday, October 28.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

To commemorate the event, the current Tigers will wear throwback jerseys from the era.

The 1991 Tigers defeated Carthage, 35-16, in the 4A state championship game.  The team will be recognized at halftime.

Former head coach Ross Rogers orchestrated an unprecedented run from 1989-1992, leading Consol to becoming the first school in Texas high school football history to record four consecutive 14-win seasons.

During that span, the Tigers went 56-6, including the 1991 state championship, two additional trips to the state championship game and a state semifinal appearance.

Members of the 1989, 1990, 1992 and 1993 teams will also be recognized throughout the game.
