Oklahoma Quarterback Trevor Knight to Transfer to Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION – Trevor Knight has decided to play his final year of eligibility at Texas A&M University after graduating from the University of Oklahoma.

“I appreciate the opportunity Coach Sumlin and his staff have afforded me and I look forward to making my last year of eligibility a memorable one,” Knight said. “I am thankful to Coach Stoops and all of the people at OU for their help and support through the years.”

Knight, a 6-1, 207-pound quarterback, was a high school standout at San Antonio Reagan High School before enrolling at Oklahoma and redshirting in 2012. He was the MVP of the Sugar Bowl win against Alabama following the 2013 regular season when he was 32-of-44 for 348 yards and four touchdowns. He was an Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2014 and was named to the Capital One Academic All-District team as selected by CoSIDA. He played in six games this past season and graduated with a finance degree from OU in December.

“We are excited to welcome Trevor to the Aggie family,” Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin said. “We look forward to him joining our team in January and know he will be a great representative of Texas A&M.”
